Midman International is the Canadian subsidiary of Al-Rowdha Trading Group (RTG). Established in 1982, RTG (formerly known as Al-Rowdha Drug Establishment) began as a single family-owned and operated pharmacy. The company grew into a national retail and wholesale distribution house for medical supplies, Over-The-Counter (OTC) and prescription drugs. Through the years, RTG worked with a number of renowned international pharmaceutical brands such as GlaxoSmithKline, Dumex A/S (Denmark), Luitpold A/G & Knoll A/G (Germany), Stafford Miller & Dentsply (UK), and Roche.

RTG is based in the Republic of Yemen, a Country that controls the strategic passage between the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea. Surrounded by booming economies of the Gulf Cooperative Council, and a stone’s throw from the coast of Africa, Yemen is positioned to become a significant trade hub in the Middle East. In 2005, Dubai Ports World won a 30-year contract to upgrade and operate Yemen’s Port of Aden, promising to invest upwards of $500 Million to turn this port into a world class operation rivaling the current popular port of Dubai.

Midman International is similarly based in Canada’s strategic Atlantic port city of Halifax, with easy trade access into Europe, USA, South America, and rest of the world. Midman International is RTG’s expansion venture into North America, widening ATG’s trade scope beyond medical supplies and pharmaceutical commodities, and utilizing its 25+ years of experience and networks to become a MENA regional player for trade and new product distribution.
